Jeff and George-You are correct. On further checking, I found that the statement made about the 9 1/2 " clutcth was actually about a 6 banger with an A833 4 speed --My bad-- WHEW! Glad to be wrong this time. Thanks Guys.........................MO.........sw iowa ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff Adams" <ledman_70@xxxxxxxxxxx>

I think you've been give some bogus info Steve...never heard of a 9.5" clutch. I have a 65 bell on the 413-bored-to-426 in my 64 Polara with a 66/67 A833 and a 10.5" flywheel and clutch. The only thing I had to different was a 65 z-bar mount to match the 65 bell, and I got that from Brewers. I also put a 71-74 B-body non-console pistol grip shifter thru my console, but that took a little extra work...looks great though! Steve Mick wrote:I am using a bellhouse from a 1965 B body big block-cast iron. I read that those used a 9 1/2 inch flywheel with a 120some tooth ring gear. Since the starter bolts to the bellhouse, am I going to have to use a 9 1/2 inch flywheel-clutch? is that true or is there a way to put in a bigger flywheel? 413--A833.
