Re: old AC compressors?

Rich,
I put a Vintage Air unit in my 65 Satellite. Heating and cooling combo and 100% satified. I have a set of vents out of a 65 Satellite..crotch cooler (drivers side) and kick panel on passenger side. Do not know if they were the same on a 63??? Give u more of an original look. You could mount the controls in the glove box for a more original look. I can answer any questions u may have.

Speaking of AC, I'm early in the stages of building my '63 Fury vert - Poly stroker project and am debating adding AC on the car. I am building this car as a resto mod so I'm not concerned too much about original since the only thing original under the hood will be the engine block and heads.

What is the best aftermarket AC application for this car from a combination of looks and functionality? Anyone here used Classic Air or other type AC units on their B body with a Poly or any other engine for that matter?

Secondly, any thoughts on the best windshield washer fluid reservoir since I'm ditching the bag. Would like to replace with a new Mopar hard plastic version.

Any thoughts on the "value" of the old AC compressors, like used on Poly 318s? I have a couple in the shed but they are of unknown condition. These old AC compressors are real HEAVY too. I hate to toss them into the recycle pile, but will do so I guess.

My two pennies thought is that the old AC compressors are worth something to a person wanting a correct restoration, but swapping in a modern lightweight compressor is better for a lot of folks.

Thanks,
Gary H.
