RE: Carlisle?

I got to the Mopar Survivors tent right at 10, stayed for maybe 45 minutes, I think maybe 6 members showed up there. The weather threatened to storm mid Saturday afternoon so a lot of vendors closed up and many went home from the swap meet area. It never stormed, sprinkled for maybe 5 minutes, but seemed to break the momentum of the show. Went back Sunday and the place was half empty in the swap meet area. I felt like the prices were high and the sellers wouldn't budge off their prices. I tried to buy some '63 Plymouth fenders, the same fenders the guy had there last year, wanted $375 a piece and he will bring them back for sale next year I'm sure. I don't understand the swap meet vendors that bitch about not selling anything when they will not negotiate prices at all. To me a big part of the fun is trying to get a good buy.

I've been three years in a row and would rate this show in third place. Seemed less vendors were there each year. Sign of the times I guess. I'm think of going to Columbus now because I didn't find much that I needed.
