Re: Suspension Height

Dennis,
I agree, the car needs to be driven more. Only drove it 1/2 mile down the street and turned around, 4 times as we were playing with the adjustment. Fairly bumpy road. She came up an 1/2" on the trip to the muffler shop Been thinking about cutting some wood dowell pins as measuring tools and try the book way again. Got finished at the muffler shop today and she will be coming home tomorrow.
MS Crusier may be happier at home and act right!!

Ollie,

You may not like the procedure however Mother Mopar's way is probably
the best way to go setting ride height. The purpose of Mother Mopar's
way is to set the tension on each torsion bar the same. Nothing wrong
with measuring from other locations however body panels are not all
exactly the same and typically need to be shimmed to fit.

You have the new suspension parts working against you at the moment.
These new parts add friction to the car movement of the car up and down.

Nothing wrong with a short ride over some moderate bumps to help free
things up. It is also necessary to bounce the car a number of times
between adjustments. You may find that once you have it alighned and
put some miles on it you may want to go back and check ride height
again.

Sounds like you are doing great - keep up the good work.

Left the shop last night and MS Cruiser was sitting at 25 3/4 " fender
height. This morning when we measured it was 24 3/4" without moving the
vehicle. ???
