Ok it doesnt look too bad. Unhook the choke rod coming up to the manifold and remove the choke spring from the manifold. You wil see it is adjustable. lossen the nut and give it just enough more to help the choke close a bit more tightly or firmly. that may be all you need. Reinstall and we will try from there. BTW the car does idle correctly.. when first started a fast idle, and
after about five minutes or when the temp gauge is a quarter up, I tap
on the gas and the idle slows
