Lube it. Vaseline. Cable comes out inside the car after removing it from the 
speedo head . Not that hard to do. Keep it coiled as you remove to keep from 
getting it dirty or dusty. Smear some vaseline on it or dielectric grease 
and shove it back in the cable housing , reinstall and go for a nice quiet 
drive for the next ten years.

Has anyone had trouble with there speedometer making noise when it is 
cold? Mine does and then when it wars up it stops. Is that the head going 
bad or the cable?  Can it be oiled or need to be replaced? Thanks, Harry
