Re: how can you tell a real maxwedge car?



All the vin tells is: 

3 = Plymouth V8 
2 = Belvedere
4 = 1964
1 = Lynch Road, Detroit, MI
remainder = Sequential production number

Like Jim said, though, Darrel Davis has compiled a list of all the max cars sold sorted by vin, so you can cross reference the vin of your car to Darrel's list. If you are very into max cars you would enjoy his book in any event how the vin turns out.
