I might be wrong, {I think I was once (; } but I seem to remember reading somewhere power steering fluid is ATF without red dye and detergents, allowing it more resistance to foaming. I have never had a problem using ATF in my PS!! I use to twist wrenches on a major fleet of government vehicles, Scooters to Tractor Trailers and we used ATF in all our PS with NO problems.
