Bob are you sure you really need your suspension rebuilt? Had it checked by a trustworthy mechanic? Those prices sound very high to me. There is a place in Omaha that actually makes rear springs and probably most shops get them from him. If you took yours to him, he could re-arch your springs or make new ones. You could probably do the rears yourself. Front end can be challenging -especially getting things dis-assembled. I have a friend who has an independant shop up around 65th and Maple Omaha Maybe you would like a second opinion from him...............................MO...........sw iowa ----- Original Message ----- From: <62pluckedchicken@xxxxxxxxx>

I just got a quote for doing the front end w/shocks for $2000 and the rear w/o shocks (already replaced) for $1000 As those who have met me know, I'm not a mechanic, but not afraid to get my hands dirty. I found a rebuild kit for the front-end (at Kanter.com) for $236 includes ball joints, bushings, etc so should I just leave my car parked until I can raise the money and have a pro do it? or is a front suspension rebuild doable for a guy with no experience? ----Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
