63 newport new yorker and 300's

 I own a 1963 Chrysler Newport and I am looking for some info, on the back half of the front fenders I have a emblem which is Chrysler in script lettering, and after that it has a little square which looks like something was affixed inside it at one time (some sort of badge) I have looked at other Chrysler's at car shows and such and they are all missing them too. What was there?
