Just ran into this issue. The eng turning trim insert is the exact insert 
trim used on a 64 chevy impala. I know this for a fact as my buddy just 
redid his. He bought a roll of it.
On our vehicles it was actually a tin insert. Chrome pieces on my 65 
Satellite have this trim insert; on the chrome pieces between the tail 
lights.
The trim/chrome shop that I just did business with told me he can put that 
trim on
