Hello, Thanks for all of the great suggestions. When I posted my question I was in Williams Arizona. On the road I tried to tighten the bolts and the leak got worse. When I got to Moriarty New Mexico I found a NAPA and got a new gasket set. They let me change the gasket under a shade tree by their store. I was very careful cleanging the head and valve cover. They had a set of the Fel-Pro thick gaskets.I used a very light coat of Black RTV on each side of the gasket and carefully tightened the bolts. I either still have a leak or I have so much oil under the car that it is still dripping. I am starting to think I have a damaged valve cover, it may be warped or cracked. I'll check again when I get Lowell Arkansas. "The Right Stuff" is great gasket sealer, Loc-tite also has an equal product. One warning, it is almost too good. If I damaged the valve cover it was because of trying to get it off after using "The Right Stuff". On just this valve cover I switched to valve cover studs by ARP. This made it easier to install the gasket and valve cover. I did tap and clean the holes first and didn't find any problems with the bolt holes. Just a comment on gaskets, NAPA still sells the cork gaskets made by Fel-Pro, I may try a double set if I don't find any problems with the valve cover. Thanks again for the responses. Even with the problems on the road the road trip has been great. I have met great people at each stop. Truck Stops are a hazard, allow extra time at each stop, there are always people who want to see the car and talk about old cars.
