Re: Muffler

MO,
Cannot say I saw any more performance. But yes it really quieted it down. At about 40-45 mph I had a resonating sound like a harmonic imbalance. Thankfully that went away.

Ollie, are you saying the H pipe made your exhaust quieter? . With the H
pipe, could you tell a noticable difference in
performance?.........................MO..................sw iowa

During my last suspension up grade I noticed I had one of my exhaust pipes
slightly rubbing a torsion bar. Off to the muffler shop. He installed a "H"
pipe as a support. WOW< did that make a difference in the sound. I am
running flowmasters with resonators. Quieted it down a bunch. Can actually
hear that Holly 770 Street Dominator sucking fuel now. Cannot keep my foot
out of the 4 barrel. Another plus...can really listen to the stereo cranking
out some rock and roll as the fuel gauge drops like a rock. Love it!!! Sure
this did not answer your question...but anyway....

Hello,

I´m going for a max wedge clone and my next step will be the tti max wedge
exhaust system.

But I´m not sure about the Dynomax super turbo mufflers that go with it. As
a sound engineer I know that there are many things to consider but I have no
experience at all with different mufflers.

So I ask You guys for some help what to go for( Dynomax ultraflow, FM 40´s
and so on....)

What I´m trying to prevent is a popping sound what I´ve heard with some 3"
systems.

I know it is a chevrolet but this is a great example for a great sounding
car which I´ve found on Youtube.

Thanks for Your help,
