I had that problem on both my 64's. The power steering box was shot in one car. When I had it rebuilt, there was still some steering slop, which turned out to be the steering coupler. You might check that. /Butch/Ferndale, WA -----Original Message----- From: 62pluckedchicken@xxxxxxxxx [mailto:62pluckedchicken@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, August 26, 2009 7:29 PM To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: front suspension installed Finally got the parts I've been collecting for the front suspension installed... makes a BIG difference in the way my baby handles, plus cured the tendency to drift right while driving, and pull left while breaking.. there is still quite a bit of play in the steering wheel, but its better.. I guess in 2010 (done spending this year), gonna have to look at a FirmFeel box.. or somethin' similar. Thanks Steve, for recommending Auto Fitness.. Rob charged me less to do the whole front suspension, than his estimate to install the just ball-joints and shocks, .. Rob is a real upright guy :) Rob saved all the boxes for me so I'll list the part #s for anyone interested.. but the inner and outer tie rods were TRW, the shocks were special made from shocks2springs.com, and everything else was made by Raybestos, and bought from Bill Rolik ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
