Steering rod change

If you change the steering rod..........I got all kinda 0cents advice. Me 
and MO swapped out steering rods and boxes for my 65 Petty Stock Car 
Project. I went from PS to manual. It was a 64 Dodge B and 65 Ply B. 
Everything fit great.
