Re: 361 head gaskets




Well, in this colder weather these days, you will get white smoke til the engine warms up. Thats just condensation in the ehaust system. Don't confuse that with a blown head gasket.

I would also try the other tests suggested in recent emails.

Well for starter I noticed white smoke coming from my tail pipe so I was once told by an old timer if you remove the fan belt and start the car. Wit the radiator cap off if you see bubbles in the radiator you have a blown head gasket

What about valve guides?  Seems to me a motor of that vintage w/ 90K on
it is going to need a bit of work on the heads.  As has been said one
thing leads to another.
