Re: 15-40 weight oil?



I used Rotella in the 440 this summer.  Seems like the next time I drove it, I wiped out a flat tappet hydraulic cam.  I think the ZDDP in the Rotella has dropped from what I've read.  Now I'm going to try the Vavoline Racing Oil (and add ZDDP plus for at least the new cam break-in.)

The zinc pollutes the catalytic converters. So the regulations are requiring lower zinc in the oils.
