I just picked up a matched pair of 440 Mopar Marine engines with less than 100 hours on them since a complete rebuild. The guy who I got them from could not remember which is the right or backward running engine. My question is there any method to externally determine which engine is which without a completetear down. Even with a tear down how do I tell, distributor gear? Thanks In advance Nico Over Va.
