What year is the TorqueFlite transmission you are going to use?
Thanks,

I have read the article on changing shifters but I don't think I
understand. My question is:
I have finally located a complete console with shifter for my 65 Coronet,
I am putting in a 68 440 and torqueflite tranny. I want to use my stock
auto shifter. I know they are different. Has anybody done this conversion
before? I need a diagram or something and maybe some pics. I understand
you can use a B&M cable for a 727?. Anybody shed some light on this, I
went to a great deal of trouble to find a complete console as mine was
butchered for another shifter and I want to retain the stock look. Or
better yet, anybody put an aftermarket shifter in to a console like this
that looks good??? and does not require major butchering??
I am open to ideas and suggestions.
cheers
Steve
