I bet it would last longer if it was covered with duct tape! (-: Had an old Valiant Hooptee back in the seventy's that I carried a bar with me in the glovebox everywhere I went to repatch a gash in the fuel tank. I had someone stick a srew driver thru the tank of my 70 AMX while at work when I was younger. It was leaking like crazy when I left to go home. A guy inside came out with a bar of soap and rubbed it on the hole. Stopped leaking, and didn't leak for several days. Kept doing it till I could find a new tank (pre ebay). Good to know if you get stuck.
