Re: Lifts - was RE: Heater hindsight

I have a two post Mohawk 7K lift I use almost exclusively for working on my cars and a Backyard buddy lift I use mostly for car storage. I really like both of them. If I had to choose one, I'd use the BY Buddy. It's fine for most maintenance items, storage, tranny work/removal, exhaust work, and you can get options that allow for getting the tires up off the decks if needed, for projects like suspension upgrades.  With the two post lift, you have better access to everything from underneath, but the suspension/tires always hang. Sometimes you don't want that. That said, I use both for different things. They are  life savers in terms of how many hours I can work on a car and my mental/physical well being. For me, I want to look forward to getting at my car, not wondering how soon I'll be too tired to do anything.

Here's a question for the group - now that I have space, I'm thinking
hoist.

How many list members are using 2 post vs 4 post?  Pros and cons?
