Bill,

Sorry to hear it.  If there's a bright side, it's February, so at least some of your downtime is during the winter.  I'm on the upswing from a hip replacement - 10 weeks ago tomorrow.  The body heals amazingly.  Each week I can tell I'm better than the week before.  I slipped on the ice last Tuesday - the old both feet go out from under you routine.  (The ice was hidden by falling snow.)  I went down with all of my weight on my new hip - I came down right on the scar.  It scared the heck out of me, but no injury that I can tell.  4 or 5 weeks earlier - it could have been a different story.

Don't be surprised if you find yourself out there before long doing what you can with your good wing.  You can hold tools in your sling while you work.  Best wishes on a speedy recovery, and remember that things can always be worse.
