Actually, the Performer(AFB in disguise) and the Thunder (AVS in disguise) 
are very similar carbs. The main difference is in the secondaries. Thunder 
uses a larger, adjustable secondary air valve, whereas the Performer uses a 
non-adjustable flapper valve down inside the secondary venturies. Either 
should perform well,when setup properly. You should be around 750 cfm.
