I will post the dimensions I used when mine are complete. I paid $45 for the plate Al. and $50 for labor. I am not polishing them. I am making them to fit Coronet 500 seats. I wish somebody would A. put up a set of blueprints/dimensions and B. maybe run with making these up for list members. Considering how simple they are somebody should be able to turn a profit and still come in way under the usuall going rate; I would think. I had a set constructed just from mocking up the seat on wood blocks to the position I wanted and then using photos to guess at the details and build methods. My guy made two prototypes, to test for fit and then polished the final parts...for the tidy sum of $175. No, he doesn't want to do any more and no longer has the means to build them, but given a nice set of guidelines I'm sure just about any one of us knows somebody who could duplicate the feat. The prices I've seen on these has simply bordered on stupid unless doing a no hold barred clone or original One other diagram I'd like to see is the slot filing reference for the detents on the '65 A990 column mounted shifter. I remember reading an article some years ago about some clone builder that had figured out the shape and then went on to have the pattern window plastic repoped. Think of all the money that could be saved on ratched shifters if that were to surface somehow...

JC Whitney still sells the seats in vinyl in their Jeep section. The folding
back of the seat was an option on the A-100 pickups but not the vans.

Yes Bostrum Viking Companion seats were used. They were modified so the
back would fold frontward, unlike the rigid truck seats. And they used
unique fine grain vinyl.

The Summit link worked but, beyond the fabric, the top of the backrest on
the Summit seat looks more square than the original A990 versions look
like to me. I suppose an upholstery guru could fix that.

It seems that recently someone on here mentioned that the seats were made
by
Bostrum, and were as used on the A-100.  Besttop makes a seat that looks
similar (not exact, but close enough for most 50 year old memories) and
sells them through Summit and others. They're listed in the Jeep section.

At one time they were available in vinyl, but I see only fabric now.
