Re: Frame Connectors

convertibles have 'torque boxes' that stiffen the car at the front of the spring hangers. that's probably what's hanging you up.
they look something like this:

Subject: Frame Connectors

Hey Guys,
I bought a pair of bolt in frame connectors on ebay. I can't seem to get
the rear section mounted on my car. Are the rear spring mounts/
subframes different on convertibles? These seem like really nice custom
made pieces off a 1964 B body. Figured this would be easier then nialing
my gutters back up,Should have known better!
