I do have to say I had a 75 Cordoba that I used Arco Graphite in with no
problems.  Mainly because that is what was being used in it when I bought it
  It had 150,000+ miles on it when I sold it, running strong.  But there has
to be a reason it is no longer available.

The  bad stuff was ARCO "Graphite" motor oil.

There was also Telflon oil additives (remember Slick-50)....where has that

snake oil gone?
