IMHO I would stick with the '62-65 generation K-Member. The '66-up K-member moves the engine and transmission back in the chassis 1 1/2"-1 5/8". We've had a number of customers use the later K-Members and firewall clearance (with a crossram) and transmission clearance issues are common. I'm sure there are some who are quite happy with the later K-member as it provides much more room for fan, radiator, and headers, but I don't personally see that it is worth the extra work.
