Re: 65 Belvedere, S6 cooling issue.

Mike,

Yes, I have a six blade and a seven blade fan for HD air pull/cooling.

Just send me an e-mail off-line and I will send you pictures of each; take your pick.

Mike,
Couple questions..are you using a after market temp gauge or just the original dash gauge? I would verify the temp with a good gauge....I remember last summer we fixed my buddies Chevy overheating problems by trashing the cheap aftermarket gauge replacing with a autometer gauge.
Change the fan to a 6 blade...used in AC cars
I would not think u would need a shroud on a /6 with no air.
Radiators get price scary. You can almost get a custom built aluminum radiator for a copper core rebuild.

I only have a few miles on the car since buying it. I'm just trying to build up some confidence in it. After my first 20 mile run, the eng. seemed to run hot, so I replaced all the hoses, waterpump and put in a new 180 deg. thermostat. The radiator shop cleaned the radiator a fixed a few leaks that popped up after cleaning, but said it fragile. Currently, no leaks. I went to install a clutchfan, but its 3' tall and hits the radiator - so I had to reinstall the measly 4 blade. No shroud unfortunately....

No one makes and aftermarket on for this year. I don't want to pay big bux for a recore either. Is there another application that would fit? One that maybe has a similar hose layout and provision for a shroud?????

thanks
