Re: external balance

I bought that 440 engine today . It is the cast crank without the crank flange machined for pilot bearing. I will be using a 4 speed tranny, So I would have to machine for a pilot bearing and then find a flywheel for an external balance crank. I will eventually need a good standard flywheel for my 413 engine, and so would already have that. I already have the harmonic balancer for a internal balance engine. . Ny thought is to change the crank to a internal balance one --Question-- if I do change cranks and use a regular flywheel and harmonic balancer, is there anything eles that needs to be done? Will the balance be within factory tolerences? Thanks for any input.............................MO

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
