Hi Ollie,

The media is a sodium bicarbonate mixture if I remember right, we used it a lot when I worked in the metallurgical lab at Zollner pistons. Very effective at removing surface finishes although I have never used it for rust. Our application was for coating removal from piston skirts with no deformation to the skirt surface, we also used it for failure analysis where the surface integrity couldn't be compromised. Does a very nice job!

I have an Eastwood unit, it does exactly the same thing. The last time
I used it has to be 8 years ago, I just got so frustrated with it....
