Oh, I was giving small-block spec's for what I run my 273 at. Didnt have the book in front of me for the B-Block.

I've always found .0.018 to 0.019 initial setting is usually a good starting point, and many times dead on. Then adjust to dwell 32-34 usually works well.

If Dual point, set each side separately to 32 and end up with combined dwell of around 36-38

Turns out my PerTronix IS bad after all, and it's on it's way back to
CA to be checked out/warranty replaced. We re-did every connection in
the ignition system & I replaced the coil. The last time the car died
in my garage, it would not re-start even with 12V directly to the
PerTronix unit. I talked to their tect line and they agreed it sounds
like the PerTronix unit.

The weather is going to be BEAUTIFUL this weekend in Maryland, so
tonight I'm converting the car back to points temporarily.
It's been decades since I've done this so I need some pointers. HELP!
I'm pretty sure I have a tach/dwell meter in my box of goodies.

Thanks!!!
