Check to see that the secondaries are closed - IIRC there is a small set
screw that you can only access from under the carb.  Racers used to open the
secondaries a bit to help idle with big cams (or maybe it was launch - just
don't remember right now).

Does anyone know why a freshly rebuilt 750/3310 Holley would runaway at
idle.
I followed Don Dulmages instructions to the nth degree but obviously did
something wrong.
Fired the car up and it immediately started racing.
Fast idle is backed off completely and the throttle cable is not holding it
open.
Any help appreciated.
