THANK YOU DAVID! This is exactly what I need to know. Yes 5 bows and the
sawtooth blades are on the sides. I find the pockets you tell about, and
altho not numbered , it was easy to determine which bows go where.
QUESTIONS: should the tops of the bows touch the inside of the roof? How
does the rearmost bow attach to the sides? No clips or pockets there on
mine. Whats left of the two little springs above the rear window are

You said the bows were in the trunk (5?). Hope they ‘re labeled front to
rear. What about the saw tooth plates – one each side – might these still
be mounted to the inside roof framing or were these removed along with the
bows? These are what hold the bows in position. You might have noticed,
four teardrop shaped indents in the sub roof frame symmetrically along
each side. Four of the bows rest in these indents and the saw tooth plates
cover the bows in the indents thus holding them in place. The saw tooth
plates are mounted with a sheet metal screw at the A pillar and five twist
lock clips.

I don’t have pics but if you need some, I’ll see what I can do. Hope you’re
not in too big of a hurry.

if i remember correctly they just press in to holes on the sides no clips
i just did mine a few months back and there were no clips involved 2
small sprinds holding the rearmost bow from going forward, and the bows
is all there is,its quite a job to get the headliner tight start at the
front and work towards the back go from side to side and keep pulling on
the extra bow pockets attached to the headliner using them as ropes to
pull the slack out youll need to cut them away from the headliner a few
inches in from the end of the hoops it took me 3 headliners in 3
different cars before i got mine looking professionally installed theres
a few little tricks that i picked up watching someone who new how to do
it, the sail panels are a bi!%H and youll need about 25 small clips to
keep clipping and adjusting fom side to side from front all the way to
the back when you finally get it tight then you cement the edges and then
reclip till your glue dries good luck
i almost got divorced having my wife help me on the first one the second
one took me and a friend the better part of a day to get in still kinda
loose then after watching a pro install one the third went in in a few
hours and almost perfect with just a little problem around the sail
panels and rear window area i would propably pay the 300 bucks next time
to have someone else do it now that i have got one looking good just so i
could say i did it!!!
