To answer your question...Yes it will take 7200-7500 rpms. Mine has seen it a time or two, before the rev limiter. Now just because it will take it doesnt mean it makes power up there. Your camshaft choice will tell you where it should be run to. I run mine about 6500 or so with my cam.
