Another tranny question

Last year I replaced the 318 in my 65 Polara with a 440. I also the tranny custom built for the cable shift set up. The kick down was not hooked up because one has to be fabbed. I drove the car without a kick down for about 400 miles. Does anybody think doing this hurt my tranny? Thanks in advance for the input.
