I think I will order my teardrop hood scoop tomorrow. It is fiberglass and I think I will attach it with large head stainless pop rivits, The scoop and the hood will be Mopar flat black with 413 C.I. lettering on the sides of the scoop . I am going for the mid 60's look. Good luck with your project, and will plan on seeing you at SAC Saturday. twist Dodger's arm. 8-)....................MO{Steve Mick} http://stevemick1964dodge.shutterfly.com/pictures/5----- Original Message ----- From: "Rich Kinsley" <rlkinsley@xxxxxxxxx>To: <1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, February 09, 2011 9:44 PM Subject: Hood scoop progressOllie has been giving me tips so I guess if anything goes wrong it's hisfault :-) I did my welding on the 18ga withh my 90amp Harbor Freight flux wire welder set as low and slow as it would go. I didn't blow toomany holes. I put some JB Weld on the inside of the scoop along the rearseams and that sealed things up. Now i have some Evercoat fiber glassfiller and then some liteweight filler to purty it up with. I think it's coming along OK. I'll be starting on smoothing out the nose of the hood next and then I can cut the hole in the hood to mount the scoop. Heck Imay even get it done in my lifetime :-) I am having fun!
