RE: 400 motor - scrap it?



Thanks to all for the input. It looks like I'll find a place to keep the 
block. I *think* if I worked on getting that back cylinder's rust 
knocked down the engine would turn over. None of the pushrods were bent 
in any case.  

Stan and all, http://www.picupine.com/065ed9ax  shows the rear view of 
the engine and casting number. I'm not sure what "three flat plateaus" 
look like. This has 2?   

And yes, last week the scrap price for steel here was .90 cents a pound. 
A guy I know cleaned out junk from his barn and made about $300.
