I don't know the article you are citing, but.

It was Collectible Automobile Gary , that had the low estimate numbers 
you were referencing..
I believe the source is listed somewhere on the website.
I remember Amos Minter ( the guy that restores the baby t-birds in 
Dallas, Tx) had a red 500 Max Wedge car in the same spread.
Seems like 5 was the number quoted for the max wedge 500 cars.
