Re: pb blaster on wiring harness

That'll cut it loose but it is hard on some plastics.
Dry's out the plastic, and makes it brittle.

Subject: pb blaster on wiring harness

OK, I was trying to get an underdash wiring harness out of a parts
car. I don't think it had ever been removed in 45 years, so the
connectors were tight and unyielding. I was afraid I was going to
break them, so I had no choice but to douse each connector with a good
shot of PB Blaster. It worked, it came out lickety-split, but now I
have an oily harness that will smell up the car when I install it. So
NOW I need to remove all that PB blaster. What can I use that wont
hurt the plastic wirings or connectors?? I know many things that will
cut the PB blaster, but I am afraid it will hurt the harness. Its a
really nice harness too and I dont want to damage it in any way
