You can put the t-bars in so the numbers on the end of the bars are in the anchor of the crossmember so you can see the numbers, but I recall one blurb by Ehrenberg in Mopar Action writing: "longitudinal torsion bars are handed but NOT directional."

With used t-bars you may want to put the t-bars in the way they were originally installed if you know that.
