Yep the Golden Commando 395 was a 361 4bbl. rated at 305 HP and 395 ft lb of torque. I use to own a 1961 Plymouth 2 dr post Special Police Pusuit Vehicle with a Golden Commando 395 and a 3 speed stick on the column. It had some special rear end with 2 .4 something rear gears. It had a certified 150 mph speedometer and I do believe it may have been capable of pining the needle. It wouldn’t lay rubber no matter what you did but it would run the ¼ mile at just under 80 mph “in 1st gear”. I had it up to 115 mph on the interstate one night “in 2nd gear” and it still had more to go before it needed to be shifted. It had huge drum brakes with special 14” wheels. Regular 14” mopar wheels would not fit over the drums. I sold it to a friend of mine who restored it back to a police car complete with gumball light, siren, police radio and whip antenna. He since sold the car and the last I knew it’s living in the Pittsburg area.
