I would rather see you put an nice sounding dual exhaust system on it
before the manifold change,,,, I think you would reap the harvest quicker on the
exhaust than the manifold change,,,,,,,,,as far as the ignition, I would
probably go to a U pull it and get a used mopar ECU unit for it, you should be
able to switch it over for less than $50, or even go one step farther and get a
rebuilt distributor to add to the u pull it parts, seeing as your working with a
383 you have lots of options for used and repopped parts,,,,,, if the main seal
leak is minor, I would probably let it go until the winter months, it is not
much different than other brands, but is definitely not an afternoon job for
most people,,,,,,,,,,
