Re: Wheelbase/Overall Lenght the same?

My buddy and I converted a 64 440 wagon to a 2-dr. Wasn't that hard really.
Remove door pillar, hang 2 dr sedan door. Install 3 dr sedan section, not too bad since the window frame just screws into the open jamb and the inner structure is spot welded in the jamb. We didn't even pull the glass.
Then cut the outer skin from the 2 dr donor that was still attached to fit the opening and weld/finish.

Subject: Wheelbase/Overall Lenght the same?

1963 Plymouth B-body

I looked up the wheelbase and overall length specs for the 2dr and the
4dr and they seem to be the same.

I then did some measuring of pictures on both and the distance from
the A pillar to the C pillar seemed to be the same as well.

The difference seems to be in the length of the front doors. The 2
door also seems to have a more vertical line on the door's trailing
edge.

I recall somebody on youtube claiming that he converted his 4dr into a
2dr. Seems like it would be a big job.

Thoughts?
