Re: Parts needed and advice.....

i just got a turn signal cam and switch for my 880 a while back. super cheap 70 bucks, came with connectors, very good instructions and everything....works great! Ima find that dealer online again for you. it was cheaper than all the other ones i found on ebay and other sites (120-219). I wish i had that power steering cap i lost....it was nos i still have the box for it LOL prolly wouldve worked on your car. My friend has a 64 chrysler newport, idk if anything will crossover but ill ask if hes willing to part it or something.

I am in need of some bits for my car.  I have a 1962 Chrysler Newport
2 door Hardtop.  This is mostly a wish list...nothing needed that
can't wait.  But maybe somebody has them or knows where I can get
them.  I've tried every junk yard I can find and surfed the web around
the globe.

1.  Power steering cap (I may have found but not sure for a few weeks)
2. Complete A/C set up for my car...shipping sucks found it on eBay
but he won't ship it.
3. Tail light bezels...and I can't have them made...they are too hard
to make, they tried...failed
4. Antenna...I have it, but it was in the fender..I'm missing the
rubber and chrome bits that hold it to the car..so a broken one would
be fine.
5. Rear speaker covers...I need 3
6. Rear window defroster....it's the same thing up until the 70's
7. Turn signal switch
8. Turn signal cancel switch
9. Clock, working or not
10. Power seat
11. Pass side remote mirror (I may have found one)
12. Instrument cluster (just want a spare one)

Here is where I need some advice.  My car came with a 361 v-8 2 bbl
carb.  It's got 80k on it, and runs wonderful.  It only has 265HP, and
get pretty good MPG.  I have an opportunity to get a 413 with low
mileage, and can get it freshened up with new seals, timing chain,
freeze plugs, seals, rings and bearings if I like, and get the
transmission rebuilt and get the motor painted and installed for
pretty cheap.  The 413 should have about 360HP if I do nothing else to
it.  But MPG go down the tube.  The guy will also give me a fair price
for my 361 as he wants it for a project of his own.  A 413 is correct
for my car, and could be made to be fast and fun to drive, dual
exhaust, 2 4bbls, maybe a slightly upgraded cam....could be a fun
sleeper....but I'm not sure I should do this to my car or not.  I've
always wanted something that can be quick and look Innocent....but I'm
not sure I should do it or not.  Kind of like....If it ain't
broke...don't fix it.  Any thoughts?

Thanks
