Re: Manual Steering Box Seals Needed

I never dealt with Jim's but I'll take your word for it.

I'm probably one of the last people who successfully dealt with Imperial Services and it wasn't easy.  Mancini's, Hughs and Dvorak's and D.U.I. are probably the best companies I ever dealt with.  Jeg's and Summit are good for some things but don't carry a lot of Mopar stuff.

Flaming River carries Pittman Arms and steering boxes and steering wheels.  Super expensive everything.

I urge everyone on the list to avoid dealing with Jim's at all costs! They are NOT a trustworthy company.
They have a habit of changing prices after you order things, they'll charge your credit card for things that aren't in stock. And the woman that answers the phone is miserable(I'd use another word but it could offend).

Subject: Manual Steering Box Seals Needed

Hello,

I am looking for the oil seal for the pitman shaft of the manual box
on my 63 Sport Fury.

So far I have not found anything online and my local dealer does not
have anything on older cars.  I have been to Motion Industries and San
Diego Seal, they took measurements of the seal and the steering box
and asked it it was metric?  I told them I realy doubted it by it
could be a one-off seal design just for Mopar.

So far nothing has been found yet.

If anyone has had luck finding this seal I would appreciate the source
and part number if possible.

Thanks
Dennis C.
