Very interesting. On line is kinda the way to go, no store
front to be maintained. I agree with the Harbor Freight thoughts, but in
defense, if you are looking for a specialty tool that you will only use one
time, then they are hard to beat. Regarding their air tools, all mine are harbor
freight. I will say you need a good air compressor as they use a lot of air. One
of the differences between cheap and good. IR are the best.
All my hand tools are Sears. I have noticed that Sears is
carrying 2 different lines now. The best thing about sears they will replace
them forever.

Here's
my 2 cents on tool shopping! How fun!!! I sold tools for 20 years plus I am very
frugal and do shop hard to get best price and quality. Go online and read reviews. Snap On and Mac Tools are made by Danaher Tool according to the web. They also make tools for NAPA, Sears which aren't the quality level of Snap On's etc. You may want to go to Snap On and try some for features, weight and balance and then write stock numbers down and go online and see if you can beat their prices - I know- that's "dirty pool"! I have had Porter Cable & Ingersoll Rand air tools and they are still going after 30 years. Also replacement parts are still available.
