Re: Moment of silence please

This is a real shame.  I love our old cars, but there's something to be said for the safety features of the newer cars these days.  I was on a crash call a few weeks ago that was similar to this one - the two cars hit head-on driver's corner to driver's corner.  They were pretty much destroyed - looked like Indy cars the way the driver's front wheel assembly on both cars were thrown clear of each car.  One car had the entire outer skin of the driver's door peeled off, but the door structure was intact.  Both drivers survived without serious injury.  I know this was versus a truck, too, but we really do have a better chance in our newer vehicles with something like this.  A good reminder to all of us to be extra careful (especially on the highways) in our old cars.

Subject: Moment of silence please

I came upon this tragic news story from September 22, 2010. Take a moment of silence to pay respect to a fellow Mopar fan out cruising at 9 am when a 2007 Freightliner box truck drifted into the southbound lane and collided head-on with his 1964 Dodge 880, killing him and one of three dogs inside the Dodge.
