Hi all,
I have seen some nice dash upgrades on the site. This is my first experience with electric speedometers and I am impressed. Just want to pass on some things that I have learned for those interested.

At first I wanted to use Cyberdyne digital gauges. I ordered a set, tach, speedo and speedo sending unit in May from Jegs. In September the tach was still backordered. I returned the speedo for credit and bought Autometer. That is extent of my Cyberdyne experience. I never hooked it up.

I already had the Cyberdyne sending unit installed and did not return it. It works great with the Autometer speedo. $33 for the Cyberdyne unit and $80 for the Autometer.

The best thing about electric speedo’s vs mechanical is the ease of calibration. Just drive an exact measured distance and hit the calibration button. Done. Change tire or wheel size....recalibrate. It is very accurate, dead on.

I put the new gauges in my 41 Ply Street Rod, this is how I ended up with the gauges I just put in 43.
