Re: Dash pad removal

If my memory serves me correctly, they are attached like chrome stripes? Or you have to take out the glove box insert, heavy card board, to get to the screws. The clips are the kind you squeeze together, push though a hold and then pop open, to hold the the pad tight. Have you tried prying it up with a screwdriver? I redid mine with Masonite board, also did my door panel the same way, pattern, water proof both sides, clip holes and clips and upholster. Turn out just like new. If you look at the panels, that is what appears to have been used by Mopar. Oh yea, don't forget the plastic between the panel and door. It is easier than you think......FWIW.

The foam is still good, the plastic is just old. It's got a bunch of curves and creases, along with a place for a light. A guy in town said he couldn't do it. I wish I could find someone though. I don't even know how to get it off.

It doesn't say in the shop manual, and after looking I can't figure it out. I was gonna go ahead and see how to do it when I finally save up the money and get the stomach to pay the ridiculous amount to get it repaired. Man I wish there was another way. :-(
