Re: What size socket for ball joints?

It's a special mopar upper ball joint socket. A few weeks ago someone bought on on E Bay..$40 I am thinking.
Never used anything but an impact to install them.
I was lucky enough to borrow one on my last job.

Interesting, it says never install a ball joint with an inpact
wrench. That's good to know.

I rented a ball joint kit for ONLY $190.00 from Advance Auto so I
could use the ball joint socket in it. It seems to fit, but a little
loose. I'm wondering what the actual socket size is and if anyone
knows where I could just buy the socket as it seems like a good thing
to have.... but not for $190.

This is for a '62 Newport upper and lower.

Thanks
